Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager helps ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly and in a high state of cleanliness and provides strong leadership and supervision to the staff. He or she helps manage and train the staff to ensure they provide exceptional service to customers in a timely, courteous, efficient, and accurate manner and that they follow proper sanitation standards and keep all areas clean and sanitary at all times.

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma with some additional coursework or training in restaurant management (college degree in Hospitality, Food Service Management, or a related field preferred) and at least one year of restaurant experience. Previous management experience in a hospitality, food service, or customer service position is highly preferred. Great speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regularly execute training programs for hourly, shift leader and manager-in-training programs
• Provides constructive coaching and recognition to all shift managers and team members daily
• Demonstrate, teach and reinforce Core Values, company policies, practices and procedures and communicates all changes to shift managers and team members
• Learn to understand Profit and Loss Statements, how to attain goals, create action plans, manage inventory and complete weekly reporting
• Deliver excellent guest service as you supervise the restaurant and lead all shift managers and team members
• Manage the opening and closing of the restaurant including product quality, inventory, cash handling procedures, ordering, invoice management, reporting and general security
• Assist store manager in training, scheduling, motivating and coaching team members and serve as a role model
• Manage a variety of stations: Greet, Salad, Protein (vegetarian options are included), Sauce, Grill, Expo, and Cashier
• Share your knowledge about our ingredients, entrees and other tasty menu items
• Treat each guest like their family and give them outstanding, friendly service
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Drive a positive working relationship with team members, vendors and guests to keep “It” moving

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Charismatic, upbeat, independent worker who loves yeeros (or is willing to learn)
• Restaurant experience a plus
• Willingness to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays (if you’re flexible…we’re flexible)
• 2+ year of restaurant management experience in a quick service, fast casual or casual dining environment
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid state driver’s license and occasional local travel required for training and meetings A satisfactory background check required
• Able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time, move/lift items some of which may be heavy
• Must maintain confidential information, adhere to and enforce company policies, programs, and compliance issues.
• Must be at least 21+
